Website privacy notice

This notice covers this website only. The GenoEco app itself runs entirely on your device and does not send any information to us or anyone else.

Who we are

This website is run by Ethical Data Ltd. If you contact us using the contact form, we are the controller of the personal information you give us.

What we collect

When you use the contact form we receive:

• your name and email address;
• your organisation, if you choose to give it;
• the topic you select and the message you write.

Please don’t include information that identifies a service user or describes a case. We don’t need it and the form is not designed to receive it.

How we use it

We use these details only to reply to your message and, if you ask us to, to tell you when GenoEco is available. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries. We don’t sell your details or use them for unrelated marketing.

Who handles it

Messages are delivered to us by email using an email delivery provider (Resend), which processes them on our behalf. Our hosting provider also handles ordinary web server logs, such as IP addresses, for security and reliability.

Cookies and tracking

This website doesn’t use advertising or analytics cookies, and doesn’t track you across other sites.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry emails for as long as needed to deal with your request and any follow-up, and then delete them. If you asked to be told about the launch, we keep your email address until we have done so or you ask us to delete it.

Your rights

You can ask us to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or withdraw your consent at any time, by sending us a message. If you’re unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
